Going through the videos on the YourQuote’s YouTube Channel, I realized it is a treasure and there are gems that have been left unexplored by the audience. Here are three poems that I consider underrated.

1. Unnoticed by Vasanthi Swetha

She is an Economics student at Chennai, who deeply believes in the power of words, an eternal dreamer with the soul of a butterfly, and she believes that every poem she writes is the result of a conversation with her soul.

2. A Poet’s Mistress by Arushi Aggarwal

Arushi Aggarwal is an editor-in-chief at RITES. She was a science student who switched to arts. She did her graduation in sociology from Hindu and right now she is doing the Young India Fellowship from Ashoka University. She started writing poetry about a year back and academics is where she draws her inspiration for her poetry.

According to her there is no way you can interpret her poem except telepathy, and the suspense is pointless just like the relationship between the poet and the muse.

3. On Pangs of Separation by Fatima Aslam Khan

Fatima Khan is a Delhi Poet who enjoys spoken word the immense space it provides to explore the performing arts. Her poems are often political in nature. She believes words are the greatest means of expressing resistance and dissent. She is currently a Young India Fellow at Ashoka University.

The title of the poem is self-explanatory, but here she captures her perception about home and gives a vivid description about her anxiety.
